We can always count on Jack Webb![]()
I found this great clip of Sgt Joe Friday from an episode of the 1960s-70s Dragnet and had to share it! In Webb we trust!!
This also gives me a great excuse to use this image of Mr Webb’s album below - I really dig the concept of ‘Romantic Reflections by Jack Webb!’

Enjoy!

Ah, America makes few men like that anymore! And it’s lonely for us lucky few, eh, VV? At least as far as worthy male company goes. (Needless to say, the womenfolk know a good thing when they see it!) Face it female readers: what wouldn’t you give to be swept up in the arms of Jack Webb? Just the facts, darling; just the facts . . . .

Indeed! One of the great heroes of television and law enforcement! That album looks awesome, too, huh?

As a female responder, Jack Webb was a great looker and had a very masucline voice. But in 2007, he would need to get rid of that cigarette!

Avana, Mr Webb is one of my heroes! But yes, smoking cigarettes is out of style these days!

Wow, Avana — I think you’re the first person who I ever heard refer to Jack as a great looker. Kudos to you! And I know smoking’s out these days, but admit it: he just wouldn’t be as cool if he was holding a water bottle or a celery stick . . . .

“Thieves, bums, winos, girls who can’t keep an address and men who don’t care!”
JACK WEBB FOREVER!

I’m the late comer to this one but it’s the greatest.
Talk about reverse pshychology at work; if I were younger I’d rush out tomorrow to become a Cop just for the abuse! Whoever wrote this one left nothing out I tell you truly!
Awww, let this sexy man have his cigarettes, one had to have been around back then to get the drift. Talk to me Jack, blow smoke in my face, but keep talking to me Copper!

NWVeryBerry,
This speech gives me goosebumps every time I have watched it. I’m not embarrassed to admit it! What a riveting and inspiring speech!
And also don’t forget, I have it on very good authority that the young LAPD Officer Paul Culver seen in this interrogation went on stay with the force, changing his name to Officer Jim Reed! He served proudly & honorably in the LAPD in patrol unit Adam-12 with Officer Pete Malloy for a great seven seasons!!!
